Medical Insurance: Get Auto Injury Care Without It!

When you’re the victim of an automotive accident, you need medical evaluation and care right away. That’s because an auto injury is a medical problem. But one thing you don’t need here at Accident Care and Treatment Center, Inc. in Oklahoma City is health insurance. That’s right: no medical insurance required.

Accident Care and Treatment Center: you don’t need medical insurance!

Even if you don’t think you sustained an injury from your automobile accident, it is possible that you have an injury that could reveal itself later… after it’s too late to get the coverage you deserve from the at-fault party’s insurance. Also, getting informed, focused and experienced medical care early could help you avoid pain, discomfort and potential worsening of the injury. At Accident Care and Treatment Center, we make it easy to get that high level of auto injury care by not requiring you to have medical insurance.

We are licensed, experienced and highly dedicated medical doctors, nurse practitioners and other medical professionals. The difference between other medical doctors and us is that we are focused exclusively on automotive-accident injuries… and that we can see you right away, even if you’re not medically insured.

A different model based on focus and dedication.

The reason that you don’t need to have medical insurance to see one of our auto-injury doctors is that we have constructed our medical practice in a unique way. We only see individuals who have been in auto accidents, so we are not dependent on reimbursements for — or affected by distractions from — other types of problems and disorders.

This concentration solely on issues related to auto injuries is a reflection of our longstanding commitment to auto-accident victims. It enables not only exceptional knowledge and skill in the evaluation and treatment of these problems but, also, a different kind of business model — one where medical insurance isn’t necessary just to be seen and cared for. Instead, we deal with the liable party’s automobile insurance company to make sure you get the care you need.

Making auto-injury care easy and accessible.

Because you don’t need to have health insurance, our medical team here at Accident Care and Treatment Center, Inc. makes it easy to get evaluated and get the focused care that auto-accident injuries require. Also, you can come in for evaluation without worrying about paying up-front out-of-pocket! Plus, we can get you on the same day or the next day so you can get started right away on the path to ensuring you’re not injured or — if you are — the path to relief, recovery and a return to the life you love!

Frequently Asked Questions About Auto Insurance & Billing

What is Oklahoma PIP (Personal Injury Protection)?

Oklahoma PIP is an optional auto insurance coverage that pays for medically necessary treatment after an auto accident, regardless of fault. Most Oklahoma auto policies include at least $10,000 of PIP — check your declarations page. PIP also covers lost wages and funeral expenses.

Do I need health insurance to be treated at Accident Care?

No. Auto accident injuries are covered by auto insurance — yours (PIP or MedPay) or the at-fault driver's liability coverage. You do not need personal health insurance and there is no up-front cost.

What if the other driver was at fault?

Your own Oklahoma PIP covers your treatment initially, regardless of fault. If the other driver was at fault, their liability insurance may ultimately pay. You still receive treatment immediately — we handle all billing and documentation.

Does Oklahoma PIP pay for MRI, CT scans, and imaging?

Yes. Oklahoma PIP covers medically necessary imaging ordered by your physician, including X-ray, MRI, CT, and ultrasound. Accident Care performs all of these on-site, billed directly to PIP with no up-front cost.

What is MedPay?

MedPay (Medical Payments Coverage) is an optional auto insurance benefit that pays for medical expenses after an accident, regardless of fault. It is similar to PIP but typically more limited. MedPay and PIP can stack in some cases.

What is a Letter of Protection?

A Letter of Protection (LOP) is an agreement from your personal injury attorney stating that medical bills will be paid from your eventual settlement. Accident Care accepts LOPs so you can receive treatment immediately without up-front cost, with payment deferred until your case resolves.

Can I use workers' compensation for a work-related accident?

Yes. If your accident occurred at work or in the course of employment, Oklahoma workers' compensation covers medical treatment. We work directly with workers' compensation carriers and file the required documentation.

What if I have no insurance at all?

Even if you have no auto or health insurance, come in for evaluation. For accident-related injuries we can often coordinate with the at-fault driver's insurance or arrange payment through a Letter of Protection with a personal injury attorney. Call (405) 842-3209 to discuss.
